My holiday in India

In this article Swati ( 13 years old ) describes her holiday in India. She flew to India in July.

We woke up at 5 O'clock am and arrived at the airport at about 6 O'clock. The plane was at 7.

There weren't a lot of people so we got the boarding tickets quickly. We had taken the DVD player so we watched DVDs on the plane. We didn't sleep at all because we watched films and read some books. But it is also because we drank too many cans of coke!!

The plane landed in Finland and then we took off to Delhi. The family was there, waiting for us, my grandfather and my father's cousin. It was very very hot !!!
First we went to my grandfather's flat. We went to sleep very quickly because we were very tired.The following morning the maid came in , making a lot of noise to wake us up. She made breakfast and called my sister and I : Clarisse, Clarisse! Swati, Swati!!

Then we went to a big place with shops. My grandfather wanted to buy a sari for my auntie Renu.

In the afternoon we went to Rohtak. I think it is hotter than Delhi. There, we didn't do anything in particular but I was happy to visit my family. The following morning we went to Agra. We visited the Taj Mahal, it was as interesting as beautiful, I loved it! We spent the night in a six-star hotel. It was great. We slept very well , we had a French channel so we watched a programme in French.

We had a very good breakfast in the morning: croissants, potatoes, eggs and so many other things.

In the afternoon we went back to Delhi. The following day we went to Bangalore. My auntie Renu picked us up and we went to a restaurant for lunch. Then we went to her flat. I liked her flat very much and she has a dog called Limo! I don't like dogs very much, I prefer cats but her dog is very funny. In the afternoon we spent our time talking like grandmothers and grandfathers!!

But we also visited a zoo in Bangalore. It was interesting and the weather was very pleasant, not too hot or too cold. We all liked our holiday in India and we hope to come back to Bangalore , it's a great place to live!
